You are going to be lifting heavy things and potentially doing some distance walking so be sure to wear appropriate clothing and shoes.

Wear your orange LRC volunteer shirt - if you don't have one, we'll have it for you race morning.

Crews will meet in the the lake parking lot to distribute volunteer shirts and safety vests. Safety vests are mandatory for anyone working on or along a street.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

There are four main areas that need to be setup by separate crews.

Crew 1 Registration and Finish area - this crew is responsible for setting up for registration, finish line, and post-race runner amenities (medals, water, watermelon).

Crew 2 Cone Barrier - 150 Type A cones -  this crew is responsible for setting out and picking up the cones that separate the traffic lanes on Lake Hollingsworth Dr from Brandon Dr to Cleveland Heights - approx 120 cones spaced 8 - 10' apart.

Drop 10 cones at the lamp pole near the bike lane across from Brandon Dr and drop 10 cones near the crosswalk at Belmar, and 10 cones on the sidewalk across from Success for the two transition teams to set up the course.

For tear-down, Crew 2 should retrieve the water stop equipment and trash and return it to the yacht club, along with the cones at Beacon, then be ready to pick up the cones from Brandon back to Cleveland Heights at 8:15 AM.

Crew 3 Tape Barrier - this crew is responsible for setting out and picking up the cones, poles and tape that directs runners to stay on the road from Cleveland Height to Success until directed to transition to the path - approx 140 cones. The cones are spaced 30' apart, and a pole is inserted to hang flagging tape from. No Parking signs should also be displayed along this barrier.

Crew 4 - Start Line and Course Markers - this crew is responsible for set up and tear down of the start line and corrals, PA system, setting out all the road closed signs along the hill streets, mile makers and other course signage.

Mile 1 is in the bike lane (literally in the middle of the bike symbol in the lane) of Lake Hollingsworth Dr aligned with LP 1000970 near Hibriten Way.

Mile 2 is on the path 18'-6" NW of LPLE175754 near Clearview Ave (there is a trashcan nearby).

Mile 3 is in the bike lane of Lake Hollingsworth Dr 30' west of LP1000806 (at the drinking fountains).
