Parking is going to be the hardest part of your morning. Both lanes of Lake Hollingsworth Dr will close at 6:30 AM, and packet pick up starts at 5:45 AM in the parking lot which we expect to fill before 6:00 AM. You'll have to be strategic with your parking place; we recommend one of the hill streets north and west of the country club. Please come to the LRC tents to check in with Lynn and receive any last minute instructions.

Please wear your orange LRC Volunteer shirt.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Congratulating the finishers ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ!!

ย

Before the race starts you'll be part of the crew reminding runners that the start line is no longer at the parking lot and pointing them toward Jonila - anyone standing around the parking lot at 6:45 A.M. with a bib on needs to be encouraged to get moving toward the start.

ย

You may also be helping add the final touches to the finish area set up before the runners pass through it in the first quarter-mile of the race.ย  Please plan on staying until the last runner crosses the finish line.

ย

As runners finish you'll be helping in one of four areas:

  • reminding them to keep moving out of the active traffic lane, to not trip over the curb, and point them to medals, water ๐Ÿ’ฆ, watermelon ๐Ÿ‰, and ask runners to use the designated street crossing signals at Cleveland Heights or Buckingham Dr
  • awarding runners their finisher's medal ๐Ÿ…
  • restocking water coolers ๐Ÿ’ฆ
  • transferring trash into dumpster
